Chia Berry Jam
Serves 4
Ingredients
· 4 x cups of Frozen or Fresh Berries of choice
· 1 x cup of water
· Half cup of Chia Seeds
· 1 x dessertspoon of Honey or Maple syrup
Optional (cover berries in cinnamon before adding water)
Method
1.) Add berries to saucepan and cover in cinnamon (optional).
2.) Add water to the berries and simmer on a low heat stirring regularly until the berries and soft
3.) Mash the berries with a fork and stir
4.) Add in the honey/maple syrup and stir well
5.) Remove from the heat and add in the chia seeds and stir well
6.) Allow to cool and store in an airtight container
Perfect to top on oats/cereal and yoghurt in the morning or with a slice of bread as a snack
